Job Description:

Responsibility for leading the Proprietory Equity, Commodity and Forex Trading desk. Excellent knowledge of trading on multi-platform exchange environment and hands-on involvement with the software/technology team to design and develop trading strategies, algorithms, optimizing trading infrastructure and generating high returns.


Focus-Futures/Options Trading
(Equity/Commodity/Forex)

•       Proficient in developing Futures/Option Trading Strategies and executing them by creating and training a team of traders
•       Proficient in Software-driven Equity/Commodity /Forex Arbitrage (Cash-Future/ Spread Trading) using proprietary trading systems, while 'optimizing' performance, fund deployment and trading infrastructure
•       Proven track record in High-Frequency Trading (HFT), configuring and monitoring automated trading system with intra-day trading strategies.
•       Proficient in strategies in Index Arbitrage
•       Traded and Developed Algorithmic/ Systematic Trading by working closely with the Software team with computer programmers and analysts combining quantitative methods, technological infrastructure and trader expertise for back testing, new trading strategy development, and optimizing performance of existing strategies.
•       Manage all trading software related issues.

Experience

•       Minimum 5 years of experience at a prop desk as team leader / Head or self-employed traders for any one of the above mentioned asset class or all of them.
•       Currently working as a trader with expertise in using software and equivalent experience of high-frequency trading/algorithmic –trading.
•       Experienced trader on international exchanges such as LME, CME, DGCX, SGX etc... Trading Expertise in domestic exchanges required as well.
•       Know-how of Fundamental and Technical Analysis to analyze market conditions, economic data and financial information, sector fundamentals for equity, commodity, forex markets.



Qualification & Skill Set

•       Vision and Determination to associate on a long-term basis. Leadership abilities to build, lead the trading desk.
•       Desire to achieve record turnovers while generating marketing beating returns.
•       Strong Quantitative background, Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
•       Detail orientated and conscientious working manner

Technical Competency

Responsibilities -

Summary
Overall responsibility for managing a Product or Product category, owning the sales, growth and long term profit & loss. Responsibilities range from product launch, creation and management of Supplier Vendor networks, driving merchandizing & sales strategies and providing leadership / direction to the BD team involved in managing the Product.

Vendor network management& operations
a)      Set up and manage a vendor relations team which would do the following:
a.      Recognize sources and set up Vendor Accounts for daily business
b.      Negotiate with vendors for better pricing  and deals for our customers
b)      Provide direction in creation of an effective network of Supplier Vendors, ensuring agility and "speed to market" of the concerned Product
c)      Create a comprehensive Vendor management governance framework, defining – terms of association, pricing and payments, service level measures, service tracking methodologies, rewards & penalties, communication etc. The framework shall ensure that the Vendor's approach and services are aligned to optimize the Product availability and sales
d)      Complete Ownership of Product Catalogue data & pricing
e)      Provide direction to team to set systems of effective co-ordination and collaboration with internal teams like operations, website, customer support, catalogue team etc. for category specific requirements
Merchandising and Sales strategy
a)      Drive mid and long term strategies around market potential, competitor intelligence, pricing options. Leverage various methodologies including research, analytics, professional networks to drive such strategies
b)      Provide a business point of view and sustainable solutions / recommendations to aid decision making
c)      Create a sustainable business model in the category for ongoing business
Team development and management
a)      Provide overall direction and drive to resource planning, staffing (hiring or internal movements) and overall team management
b)      Provide guidance to establish effective career management processes for the team ensuring – performance assessment, feedback, career growth opportunities aligned to performance and potential
Profile / Background
a)      Educational background from IITs or/and  IIMs (or similar select Tier 1 institutes)
b)      4-9 years of work experience

OnGreen - India General Manager

OnGreen, the global clearinghouse and marketplace for clean technologies, is looking for an India Country Manager to run its India operations out of Mumbai.

Job Description
The India General Manager will report to the COO of the company and lead the expansion of OnGreen's presence in India. The primary focus will be researching, developing and managing relationships with cleantech stakeholders in government, the private sector, academia and the non-profit world. The candidate could come from any of the following backgrounds: Sales, Consulting, Investment Banking, Recruitment, Marketing, Hi-Tech, Non-Profit or Business Development.

Duties:
Drive India strategy for OnGreen.
Research and report on the best way for OnGreen to serve the Indian market.
Build relationships with entrepreneurs, companies, universities, NGOs, governments and investors in cleantech.
Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, policies and operating procedures for OnGreen's India office.
Manage local team.
Represent the company at cleantech conferences and/or business meetings.
Supervise the preparation, issuance, and delivery of marketing materials, exhibits and promotional campaigns.
Be ready to take on additional initiatives and responsibilities as they emerge.
Report on performance of India efforts against clearly-defined metrics.

Desired Skills and Experience:
Worked in India for a multi-national company, preferably an internet company.
Established and maintained industry contacts that lead to real partnerships.
Relationships with large corporations, universities, trade organizations and government agencies.
Excellent communication skill -- spoken and written -- in English and Hindi.
Ability to start from scratch in developing new markets.
Relationships with major Indian internet sites and investment banks are a plus.
Understanding of cleantech/renewables industry is preferred.
Business or organizational degree preferred.
Ability to travel frequently (25-50% of the time).
