OnGreen - India General Manager

OnGreen, the global clearinghouse and marketplace for clean technologies, is looking for an India Country Manager to run its India operations out of Mumbai.

As covered in TechCrunch, VentureBeat and other top global publications, OnGreen is a venture-backed, White House-cited, LA-based, cricket-playing, overworking, Turntable.fm-addicted start-up that drives partners and capital to the most promising clean technologies and companies globally and transforms today's environmental challenges into future economic advancement.  OnGreen also has an office in Shanghai.

We are currently expanding the commercialization market for OnGreen with the intention of bringing new and innovative clean technologies into India.

Job Description
The India General Manager will report to the COO of the company and lead the expansion of OnGreen's presence in India. The primary focus will be researching, developing and managing relationships with cleantech stakeholders in government, the private sector, academia and the non-profit world. The candidate could come from any of the following backgrounds: Sales, Consulting, Investment Banking, Recruitment, Marketing, Hi-Tech, Non-Profit or Business Development.

Duties:
Drive India strategy for OnGreen.
Research and report on the best way for OnGreen to serve the Indian market.
Build relationships with entrepreneurs, companies, universities, NGOs, governments and investors in cleantech.
Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, policies and operating procedures for OnGreen's India office.
Manage local team.
Represent the company at cleantech conferences and/or business meetings.
Supervise the preparation, issuance, and delivery of marketing materials, exhibits and promotional campaigns.
Be ready to take on additional initiatives and responsibilities as they emerge.
Report on performance of India efforts against clearly-defined metrics.

Desired Skills and Experience:
Worked in India for a multi-national company, preferably an internet company.
Established and maintained industry contacts that lead to real partnerships.
Relationships with large corporations, universities, trade organizations and government agencies.
Excellent communication skill -- spoken and written -- in English and Hindi.
Ability to start from scratch in developing new markets.
Relationships with major Indian internet sites and investment banks are a plus.
Understanding of cleantech/renewables industry is preferred.
Business or organizational degree preferred.
Ability to travel frequently (25-50% of the time).

Research Directors lead a capability within a practice area. Requirements:

We are seeking a high calibre individual to maintain our exceptional standards.  This person should have: 

    * At least 5-7 years of experience in a professional services environment (Management Consulting/ Business Research)

    * Experience with a strategy consulting firm is highly preferred

    * Outsourcing and off-shoring industry knowledge/experience and ability to understand market trends

    * Strong executive presence and presentations skills

    * Strong relationship orientation

    * Excellent written and oral communication skills

    * Collaborative work style; strong interpersonal and team skills

    * A bachelor's degree is required, strongly prefer someone with an MBA

Catastrophe Modeling

Title :  Catastrophe Modeling


Experience :- 2 - 8 years.
Location:- Mumbai

We have an opportunity with one of our well know client based out of Mumbai , where in they are looking out for candidates with exposure to Insurance/Re- insurance domain and with experience of working on Catastrophe Modeling.

Requirement :

Ø  Exposure analysis and comparison for data provided for reinsurance  treaty pricing.

Ø  Identify data issues; highlight them and consequences to underwriters to ensure unbiased risk assessment.

Ø  Actively understand the underwriting process at the front end and update deliverables and process accordingly.

Required profile :

Ø  Scientific and economical curiosity, combined with strong analytical and quantitative skills.

Ø  An advanced degree in a natural science or (structural) engineering discipline, ideally with superior knowledge in at least one of the main hazards listed above.

Ø  Experience in probabilistic natural hazards modeling and property insurance is a plus.

Ø  Ability and interest to support our underwriting units in analyzing property business cases

Associate - Investment Banking

We are currently supporting Associate requirements with a leading Investment Bank in Bangalore

 

Requirement:

An IBD Bangalore Associate should have:
- A keen, long‐term interest in investment banking
-
 An outstanding academic record. Chartered Accountant and/or MBA (Finance) and/or MS (Finance) from the Tier 1
  institutes
 
- Strong quantitative and technical abilities
- Investment Banking experience of 5 years out of which at least 1 year as a team lead

 

Role:

An IBD Bangalore Associate will be playing a dual role as a Banking senior as well as a team lead being involved in many
of the following activities:
  • Working on pitches and live situations while advising corporations on mergers and acquisitions and financing
    transactions
  • Tracking assigned clients/ sectors by monitoring street events, news flow, quarterly results, industry developments 
               - Updating senior members of the team on these developments. Discussing potential business opportunities /
                 pitching ideas

               - Leveraging knowledge of assigned clients and their businesses in running the client service books primarily with
