1. Chief Executive Officer
NASSCOM and the ICICI Knowledge Park are jointly launching an Early Stage Venture Capital fund. The India Innovation Fund, a first of its kind initiative, has been created with the intent of providing seed stage investments in order to promote technology advancement and IP driven innovations in emerging technologies. The fund will also endeavor to encourage entrepreneurship and enable start- ups to reach a stage of self sustenance and growth. This fund is targeted at early stage companies with a core focus on creating Intellectual Property, and academicians, researchers and incubates looking to commercialize inventions. The fund will operate through an independent entity that is currently being set up.
The CEO will head the "Investment Manager Company" (IMC), the corporate entity of the India Innovation Fund. This role will report as per statutory requirements to the Board of Directors of the IMC. The role includes managing the entire operations of the Fund from deal
sourcing, through the investment process and till divestment. The CEO will manage a team of Investment Managers and Investment Associates and will assume the responsibility for Investment decisions in portfolio companies.
The role will also involve portfolio management of Investee companies, interfacing with the Investment Council and the Strategic Advisers to ensure that the fund is being operated in line with its objectives, interfacing with the Mentor Panel to ensure that Portfolio companies
receive the requisite guidance and mentoring at the appropriate times. The performance in the role will be measured through the returns generated by the fund and the ability to meet the fund objectives.
The ideal candidate would fulfill the following criteria
1. Been a technology entrepreneur or headed a business unit within a technology organization
2. Strong entrepreneurial ethic with a track record of growing an independent business unit
3. Minimum of 10 years of work experience with at least 2 years at the helm of a business
4. Strong network with venture capitalists and entrepreneurs is an added advantage
5. Demonstrated operational and business capabilities
6. Good understanding of financial management concepts and an understanding of valuation
7. Demonstrate a genuine desire to nurture entrepreneurial activity in disruptivetechnologies

Investment Manager/ Principal Investment Manager (2 positions)
The Investment Manager will be responsible for managing the entire operations of the Fund from deal sourcing, through the investment process and till divestment in the identified focus sectors of the fund in either the Information Technology or the Life Sciences/Medical Devices streams. Identifying investment opportunities, valuation, portfolio management, and the operational activities related to the day to day running of the fund will fall under the ambit of the Investment Manager's role. The Investment Manager will also be responsible for exploring and identifying exit options and in guiding the entrepreneurs through their equity dilution
process.
The requirements for this position are:
1. Exposure to technology in the Life Sciences/ Information Technology sectors or with a Venture Capital firm with a focus on these sectors
2. Strong entrepreneurial ethic
3. Prior experience of a minimum of 3 years with a Venture Capital firm
4. Demonstrated ability to evaluate start-up companies
5. Demonstrate a genuine desire to nurture entrepreneurial activity in disruptive technologies
