Job Description
 
Designation: General Manager- Sales and Operations- Bahrain
Reporting structure: Job Reports To : CIO/COO
Location: Bahrain
 
Summary of Job:
The General Manager will be responsible starting up the offices of a joint venture in Bahrain in close coordination with the local partner in Bahrain. The General Manager will start by generating a business pipeline through a robust sales and business development process in coordination with the local partner.
 
The role incumbent will evaluate the feasibility of setting up operations in Bahrain and if feasible will do so upon approval from the management team.
 
Job Responsibilities:
1. Develop a sales pipeline by following up on the network of contacts provided by the local partner
2. Follow up in potential business leads and close the deals
3. Evaluate the potential of setting up operations in Bahrain by examining all aspects of operations
4. Prepare a business plan post verification of viability for approval by senior management
5. Coordinate with delivery center in India to ensure that all deals are closed with deliverables sent to clients on time
6. Act as the relationship manager to maintain a steady flow of repeat business from established clients
7. Ensure that a strong relationship is maintained with the JV partner to further business prospects in the Middle East Region.
 
Prerequisites: Qualifications & Experience
1. An MBA (Batch of 97 to 99) from a premier institute or a Post Graduate in Management with 8 to 10 years of relevant experience preferably in the middle east
2. Undergraduate/graduate degree in engineering (preferably from a reputed institute), financial research and analytics, statistics, economics or similar analytical field
3. Experience in services sales and marketing preferred.
 
Prerequisites: Skills
1. Should be comfortable with hands on execution of sales process and ensure that targets are met
2. Exceptional analytical skills and capability to work in project environment
3. Familiarity with strategic analyses frameworks and financial analyses techniques to be deployed for analyses of various industries as a whole and companies in particular
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills
5. Excellent working skills with Microsoft Office tools, especially power point and excel
6. Good understanding of cross cultural dynamics of middle eastern region
